Η Kassidy Caitlin Riekens έφτασε σε σημείο να ζυγίζει 118 κιλά, με τα αρκετά προβλήματα υγείας και με την ψυχολογία της στα πατώματα.
Το δυσκολότερο κομμάτι προς την αλλαγή της, ήταν να διαπιστώσει ότι όντως αντιμετωπίζει πρόβλημα παχυσαρκίας και ότι επιβάλλεται άμεσα μια αλλαγή στον τρόπο ζωής της.
Όταν το αποφάσισε ότι θα αλλάξει, οι αποφάσεις που πήρε φαίνονταν δύσκολες αλλά τελικά δεν ήταν. Το αποτέλεσμα εκπληκτικό. Σήμερα σχεδόν μερά από ένα χρόνο ζυγίζει 72 κιλά, η υγεία της έχει επιστρέψει σε σταθερά επίπεδα και η ίδια είναι πιο ευτυχισμένη από ποτέ αφού μπορεί και απολαμβάνει την οικογένεια της, κάτι που είχε στερηθεί λόγω κιλών.
Η Kassidy Caitlin Riekens έκοψε το κάπνισμα και το αλκοόλ, περπατούσε κάθε μέρα μισή ώρα και πήγαινε γυμναστήριο 4 φορές την εβδομάδα. Σταμάτησε να τρώει τηγανητά, μακαρόνια με τυρί που λάτρευε, και τα αντικατέστησε με πρωτείνη και λαχανικά.

New Year, new gym goers. Your gym will most likely start filling up this week. And instead of being angry or annoyed that your usual machines are always taken , be proud of those people who are making a first step to change their lives! • We have all been beginners. I have started from day 1 multiple times! Remember how you felt when on your day 1. I felt scared, nervous, embarrassed, and SO out of place. • If you see someone who seems shy, smile at them. • If you see someone staring, let them. Maybe they are trying to learn how to do your exercise correctly. • If you see someone using a machine incorrectly, don’t laugh at them. Either show them how to do it right or mind your own business! • If you see someone who is overweight, don’t make fun. They’re there! They’re doing the damn thang! And they’re making a change in their life that a lot of people are afraid to make. • Putting off a positive and friendly demeanor at the gym could make or break the environment your gym has. Be a positive light always. It shows MUCH more about your character, I promise. 🥰

Do you want to know why you’re not losing weight?! ⬇️⬇️⬇️ . . 1. Okay, maybe it’s the pizza. Maybe it’s the fact that you think you’re eating good but in reality, you’re having 4 cheat meals a week. When they recommend “one cheat meal per week”, they mean ONE cheat meal PER WEEK. Crazy, right? 🍕 2. LIQUID CALORIES. Y’all. I know @starbucks is like the best place in the world but it’s not always the best thing to drink every single day when you’re trying to lose weight! Most of those drinks are filled with hundreds of calories, tons of sugar, and about 50+ carbs per drink! Go on pinterest and find healthier alternative options- they’re there! Also, alcohol? (& this is coming from someone who could bathe in margaritas okurrrrrr @iamcardib) IS EMPTY CALORIES. They hold absolutely no beneficial nutrients. If you’re drinking every day or every other day (even if it’s just 1 or 2 a day), this can be seriously stunting your progress. 🍕 3. Sauce. You wouldn’t even believe how many carbs, fat, and sugar just 2 tbsp of sauce has. Are you eating Caesar salad errrrr day? Yeah honey, look at the macros for Caesar dressing. Not the best choice! Are you cooking a healthy flatbread pizza and then smothering it in ranch? Are you marinading your chicken in stir fry sauce that is pure sugar? These are the little things you have to be aware of! They will sneak up on you! 🍕 4. Bites. Are you one of those people who are like, “Oh, I’ll just have one bite” but you literally have 432 bites and it turns into a second lunch made up of Doritos and your kids left over Halloween candy? Only having one bite is bad. Don’t do it! They add up so fast and you would be knocked out of your socks if you realized how many extra calories you’re eating a day by just “having one bite.” Keep yo hands out of the cookie jar babe. 🍕 5. You’re confused about what you’re eating. You’re walking down the chip isle and see a bag of chips called “Veggie Straws” made with all of these magical ingredients that sounds healthy! False. Just because a bag of chips says “veggie” doesn’t mean it’s healthy. 🍕 BE AWARE of all the hidden ingredients in things you’re not even noticing you’re doing. Eliminate and THRIVE!!!!
